I've been going to the Marie Calendar's next door to my apartment regularly since I moved in. I found a server I liked (Shirley) and then always asked her where her section was and sat there. Since Curby and I started dating (even on the morning after our first date), we've continued doing this. Now Shirley jokes with us, "did you drive over?" and we feel like we are growing our community, one quip at a time. :)

[...] By mid-March I had a really good idea that I was going to be making a cross country move. By the end of March, that move and it’s details were mostly confirmed. I was moving to South Carolina. To a state that started with a letter other than “T” for the first time in nine years. Over the next two months I packed, planned, and said good bye. It was nothing short of bittersweet. [...]

Sarah, i felt the same way about leaving Belmont in january...so happy to do so and so sad at the same time. God's timing was perfect for me, too, and we had been praying about where we were going to live and work when we got married...it has been a wonderful blessing and I love my new job! i hope you are able to enjoy the transition and feel confident about this next step! this is a great career step for you and i know you will love it! see you in a few weeks!!

Blessings on your next season, Sarah! I love hearing that you are moving on in the path the Lord has planned for you. I've left a lot of places and it is always both bitter and sweet. It has always helped me to think that 1) when I follow the Lord's plan for me, then I can rest in his care of both me and those I leave behind and 2) just because I leave doesn't mean those relationships are not coming with me - so many of them have just been added to my (now very heavy) relationship suitcase that I take with me everywhere.

May the Lord bless your last few weeks at Baylor. I know that they will miss you at least as much as you miss them!
Love, Tiff
