It’s no secret that I live on a budget (well, when I have the discipline to follow it). After the mortgage on my house, mortgage on my college education and the cost of living there’s not much left over month to month. Because of this I’m always looking for ways to save a few pennies or making some.
You have probably seen the commercials on t.v. for Ebates.com. The commercials feature customers taking about how much money they’ve been paid out by shopping through Ebates. I’ve also seen that several bloggers I follow use it, and I decided to check it out.
I have to admit I’m pretty sold on Ebates. All you do is sign up for an account, and then start your online shopping through this site. Ebates then gives you a specific percentage in cash back for the total amount of your purchase. I noticed that they have just about every site you can imagine online, including Amazon, iTunes and Toms. I’ve made a few purchases through this site and it seems to work as advertised!
An added bonus when you sign up is that you chose a $10 gift card as a bonus. Once you make your first $25 purchase through the site they send it to you. I recently purchased Tuck’s annual heart worm medicine supply through Ebates and received 6% cash back and got approved for my $10 Home Depot Gift Card. 1800PetMeds has the best price on his meds, free shipping and I get the extra bonus of cash back and a gift card. The gift card should be arriving in a couple of weeks.
I would recommend if you shop online, especially as you head into holiday shopping, to consider signing up for Ebates. You can also tell your friends and family about the site and get $5 per registrant. This one extra step could reap big rewards for you!
